                                "The Power of Film and video and TV in the classroom"    

      In this topic,I learned many advantages and disadvantages of television,film and video to a students to have their own visual model that they can't able to see in actual happenings.Through "the power of film,video and tv in the classroom',the students can  see what happen not just only on their mind.like for example how animals live do their daily routine.In this situation,we all know that it is impossible to bring that in the classroom and through television,the students can witness the scene  and that's a big help to our learner.This is also important way of teaching process because we can make the teaching -learning process more concrete,lively,colorful and interactive that the students like it.
    As teacher's if I will apply this way of teaching process,I want it perfect and presentable to my students.I should  make sure everything is well arranged in the classroom to avoid distruction while watching the films etc.

                           "Making the most of Community Resources and Field Trips"


In my own understanding ,"Making the most of Community Resources and Field Trips"are very essential to those who have an activity like this,it should be well prepared and a good plan.We all know that in field trips its quite expensive to travel outdoors,so make sure that you used the four procedure of Mr.Brown to avoid the failed study trips such as;prelimenary planning by the teacher,preplanning with others goinng on the trips,taking the field trip itself and,post-field trip follow up activities.
    As teachers,I make sure that in doing activities like this everything is prepared like the places were we visit,the date etc.I want my students to have an unforgetable  experience in our trip because as  stated in the book the field trip"can nurture curiosity ;build a zest for new experience,and a sense of wonder".I want my student to be enjoy in our trip and have their own insight of learning.

                                                     "Demonstration in Teaching"

      In this topic,I learned that "Demonstration in Teaching" is very important way of teaching.It is the process to an  effective teaching that needs to be demonstrate by using  particularly an audio-visual presentation.To demonstrate, it should be plannable,creative so that the student will impress by it and most specially can be understand to all.As stated in the book that in teaching it is a showing how a thing is done and emphasizing of the salient merits,utility and efficiency of a concept,a method or a process or an attitude.
      As a teacher,I will make sure that if I apply this way of teaching in my class,I will make sure that I demonstrate very well to my student.I should make sure that everything is prepared before I demonstrate to my students by following the guide principles and the methodical procedures.

                                                     "Teaching with Dramatized Experiences"

   As I've read this topic,I learned that "Teaching with Dramatized Experiences" is a big help to a teacher because it can help to manipulate and at the same time,let their student to be more interested in a certain topic.The student will actively listen to a teachers discussion. The student will participate in the class by listening specially those person involve in the role play for example.The students will not feel boring in the class by just listening the same process everyday.In this dramatized way of teaching,the student will surely enjoy during the teacher's presentation.

    If I were the teacher,I will make sure to deliver in front of my students the discussions that we tackle.I will make sure that they will laugh and at the same time,they will actively participate during our session.

"T eaching with Contrived Experiences" 

• In this lesson,I was able to learned on how "teaching with contrived experiences important to a teascher.This lesson is just a connection to lesson 7 because if the direct purposeful experiences and beyond is not applicable,this teaching with contrived experience is the way yo use properly in its natural setting.Teaching with contrived experiences is very important to a teacher because by this,a teacher will not find difficulton how to show to his/her student a resl stuation.The  contrived will served  as substitute for real things whenit is not practical or not possible to bring or the real things in the classroom.Like the ex.on the book,w/c is study of the rotation of the earth on its axis and its revolution around the sun.And we all know that we can't able to see the real situation to that so we apply simulation on the class and we used an object to represent w/c is a globe.In this case, we can now able to show to our student on how it works.At least specimen is a useful way and the student have something to touch and perform not just by seeing apicture or hearing it  to thier teacher's discussion. 

             As teacher,when I use contrived experiences, I make sure that my students will gain knowledge by letting them perform on our classroom activity.After I discussed to them,I will cite an example and let them do it.In that way,it seems that they also doing thier firsthand experiences even if its just a contrived experiences.

                                        ''Direct,Purposeful Experiences and Beyond"

•    As what I've understand from this lesson,"Direct Purposeful Experiences and Beyond"means that a student can construct the ideas,the concepts using thier own knowledge and experiences.From the word "directand purpose,the students must tend to go beyond the actual happenings with thier selves and thier purpose is to have thier own experiences and make up the foundations of learning.Not just seeing or hearing but they have to do  in firsthand or the direct experience so that they can formulate a knowledge of experience.

               And as teacher,I must be able to let my students perform in our activities so that they can immerse in the world of experience.I will give them the permission to use a real things so they will not  ignored.I will let them explore a firsthand experience and of course,I'll be at thier side to guide them.

Using and evaluating Instructional Materials:
       In this lesson,I learned and have my own idea on  using and evaluating instructional materials also its guidelines to have an effective teaching style.You must prepare and select best materials first  and know how to use  properly that materials before showing it to the students.By using( PPPF),I ensure effective use of  instructional material because in this  way teacher can easily handle a class discussion.And  as teacher, I assure that all materials to be presented are well prepared and I need to observe some guidelines to be more effective and accomplish my intended learning objective.

Cone of experience:
         I learned in this lesson that the "cone of experience"by Edgar Dale is very useful to us teacher because its satated a visual model,a pictorial device that present a bands of experience arranged according to degree of abstraction and not degree of difficulty.The farther you go from the buttom of the core,the abstract the experience becomes.A student will have a step by step way of learning that  they can easily  formulate higher thinking skills.As teacher, its my obligation to enhance their  thinking skills and make sure that they understand my objective using "cone of experience"I should be mindful that my students will not feel difficulty in our topic that they merely view a demonstration or they may view it then participate in it.

A systematic approach to teaching:

       As what I understand in this lesson,I've learned that a systematic approach to teaching is really a big help to teachers who wants to teach in an instant way and not in an insipid way.As teacher,we find way of different strategies on how to teach our student and so that they will not feel bored in just the same way of teaching.In this systematic approach the entire educational program as a system of closely interraleted parts.It's just simple in theory but far from being simplistic in practice. In this way the student will have an interest to participate in the teacher and so the teacher will satisfy in fascilitating his/her objective.

Technology in a traditional way and in a constructivist way.

     In this lesson,I was able to learned the important of technology in a traditional way and in constructivist way.In  the traditional point of view, the learner is just depending to the teacher.Their knowledge  depends on how  the teacher  presented and delivered it to his/her student or in  other words,technology in traditional way serves as source and presenter of knowledge while in constructivist point of view,this time "student is the center of knowledge"because technology  this time serves as learning tools that learners learn with it.The students will gain more knowledge by themselves even if the teacher will not discuss the lesssons well during class discussions.

Technology is a boon  or a bane?

• Technology for me is really a bane and a blessing,its because it really a big help for me as a student.Through technology I can do things easily and I have lot of knowledge to learn using many high tech. machines like tv,cellphone,radyo and most specially computer.We all know that using this things,we can find lot of information ni the whole world particularly computer.When I know how to use a computer,I learned how to compute grades easier,presenting a powerpoint and apecially chatting with your friends and love ones using facebook account.
• It depends on how we use those technology.If you used it in bad way,maybe you will be caught by authority such as having cyber sex,fake licensing in softwares,hucking and etc.Also in cellphone some students will store lot pornography on it and so with tv, mostly students look for  a teleserye not a news o r whatever show that can give lessons for them.In that cases,we can say that technology is a bane.

1.What have you learn?

• From the discussion we had last November 17,2010,I've learned that technology is the usage and knowledge of tools,techniques,craft,system on methods of organization.An d educational technology is a way of processing data using high tech. machines such as computers,cellphone,etc.In a brief description, it is most simply and comfortably defined as a array of tools that might prove helpfull in advancing student learning.

2.How would you apply it as a teacher?

• As a teacher, I will apply it in my class discussion because it could be applicable to improvise teaching techniques that fits  in a modern world.It can improve my way of teaching rather than always using visual aids.It must be better using a powerpoint presentation so that it would be more understandable and interesting toe my student.But before that I'll introduce the computere or a laptop rather to my student,so that they will not feel ignorant specially those who live in rural areas.
