LB# 8

"T eaching with Contrived Experiences" 
  • In this lesson,I was able to learned on how "teaching with contrived experiences important to a teascher.This lesson is just a connection to lesson 7 because if the direct purposeful experiences and beyond is not applicable,this teaching with contrived experience is the way yo use properly in its natural setting.Teaching with contrived experiences is very important to a teacher because by this,a teacher will not find difficulton how to show to his/her student a resl stuation.The  contrived will served  as substitute for real things whenit is not practical or not possible to bring or the real things in the classroom.Like the ex.on the book,w/c is study of the rotation of the earth on its axis and its revolution around the sun.And we all know that we can't able to see the real situation to that so we apply simulation on the class and we used an object to represent w/c is a globe.In this case, we can now able to show to our student on how it works.At least specimen is a useful way and the student have something to touch and perform not just by seeing apicture or hearing it  to thier teacher's discussion. 
             As teacher,when I use contrived experiences, I make sure that my students will gain knowledge by letting them perform on our classroom activity.After I discussed to them,I will cite an example and let them do it.In that way,it seems that they also doing thier firsthand experiences even if its just a contrived experiences.

                                        ''Direct,Purposeful Experiences and Beyond"

  •    As what I've understand from this lesson,"Direct Purposeful Experiences and Beyond"means that a student can construct the ideas,the concepts using thier own knowledge and experiences.From the word "directand purpose,the students must tend to go beyond the actual happenings with thier selves and thier purpose is to have thier own experiences and make up the foundations of learning.Not just seeing or hearing but they have to do  in firsthand or the direct experience so that they can formulate a knowledge of experience.
               And as teacher,I must be able to let my students perform in our activities so that they can immerse in the world of experience.I will give them the permission to use a real things so they will not  ignored.I will let them explore a firsthand experience and of course,I'll be at thier side to guide them.
